About the company

Altamira Construction Group is a general contractor and construction manager working on commercial, industrial and residential projects. This page sets out how the company is organised, who runs projects, and what we hold ourselves to.

01 Our story

Started on site, still run from site

The company began as a small team taking on residential renovations in Metro Manila. The first commercial contract — a two-storey office building — came from a client who had watched how the crew handled a house extension next door. That is still where most of our work comes from.

As projects grew, we brought the functions that most often cause delays in house: estimating, procurement, safety and site supervision. Today the same in-house team handles a 460 sqm residence and a 14,000 sqm warehouse, with specialty trades pre-qualified and supervised by our engineers.

We are deliberately mid-sized. We take on a number of projects we can staff properly, and we would rather decline a job than run it with a team we have had to assemble in a hurry.

02 Vision

To be the contractor Philippine owners call first when a project has to be built properly and handed over on the date they were promised.

03 Mission

To deliver construction work that meets its drawings, its budget and its schedule — while keeping every person on our sites safe and every client informed of exactly where their project stands.

04 Core values

What we hold the team to

Integrity

We quote what the job actually costs and we say so early when something changes.

Safety

Nobody is asked to work in conditions we would not stand in ourselves.

Quality

Work is inspected before it is covered up, not after a complaint.

Accountability

Every item on site has a named person responsible for it.

Collaboration

Designers, consultants and client representatives are treated as part of the team.

Continuous improvement

Each project closes with a review of what slipped and why.

05 Our approach

How we run the work

The construction is rarely the hard part. Coordination, procurement and decisions that arrive late are what push projects past their dates. Our process is built around removing those.

Planning

Programmes are built from crew productivity rates and procurement lead times, not from a target date working backwards.

Budgeting

Estimates are itemised by trade with quantities shown, so you can see what drives the cost.

Scheduling

Look-ahead schedules are issued weekly. Delays are flagged when they appear, with the recovery plan attached.

Quality

Inspection and test plans cover the checkpoints that matter — rebar before pour, waterproofing before screed, MEP before ceiling closure.

Communication

One project manager owns client communication. Site instructions are written, never verbal only.

Safety

Daily toolbox meetings, documented risk assessments, and a full-time safety officer on every active site.
